Chilled Prairie Dog

Chilled Prairie Dog
COLO11D-46
December 28, 2011

Thinking back to the winter in Colorado, that wide open space where the Front Range coasts down and begins the prairie of the midwest.  This guy, fattened up from his late autumn munchings, is burrowing back in (at the sound of my crunchy footsteps) to his winter hiding place.  He was pretty patient while I crept up, but eventually I crossed that invisible safety barrier and he scampered away.  Enjoy.
